Following securing the title of Best Recruiter – Medium Regional Firm in the 2018 LawCareers.Net Training and Recruitment Awards, we are delighted to have been nominated for the award again this year, alongside the award for Best Work Placement Scheme – Regional Firm.
The LawCareers.net Training and Recruitment Awards honour the firms and individuals offering their recruits the best possible start to their legal careers. Firms are assessed, via feedback from trainees and recently qualified solicitors who trained at the Firm, on their overall recruitment process, the training they offer and the quality of their work placement schemes.
Michelmores recruit 10 trainees per year through Assessment Days and an Exeter based Summer Vacation Scheme. The Vacation Scheme gives candidates the opportunity to spend a week in one department, where they are given a hands-on insight into an area of law and life as a trainee by attending client meetings and dealing with ‘real work’.
The Firm recognises that choosing where to train is a really important decision, so the recruitment process is as much about candidates getting to know Michelmores as a place to work, as it is about the Firm getting to know them.
