Michelmores’ London office has relocated from Chancery Lane to larger premises in 6 New Street Square, EC4A 3BF.
The Firm has leased 12,000 square feet to accommodate its growing London team, which will provide a superior working environment and improved meeting spaces for clients.
Michelmores’ London team has grown by 54% since May 2014 and the new office will enable the Firm to continue to expand its presence in London.
Malcolm Dickinson, Michelmores’ managing partner, comments:
“Thanks to our ability to attract and retain top City talent, our London office has seen substantial growth in the last few years.
“We are developing an ever more international client base which is serviced via London. Currently between 10 and 15 per cent of the Firm’s work is cross-jurisdictional and the new office will enable us to continue to increase our capacity in this area.
“The move reflects our desire to strengthen our foothold in the London market, and firmly position us to achieve our ambitious plans for the future.”
Head of Michelmores’ London office Paul Paling adds:
“We have a very strong team in London built of recognised names in their fields. We all feel very excited about this next step – it’s a massive opportunity to fulfil the Firm’s ambitions.”
News of the move follows the recent appointment of corporate partner Ian Binnie to the Michelmores’ London office. A corporate finance specialist, Ian joins the firm from Hamlins.
