Michelmores has awarded Timothy Harvey Chen, a third-year student at the University of Exeter with its 2016 Land Law prize for achieving the best results in his year.
The Firm has been awarding the Land Law prize to the student with the best performance on the Land Law course at the University of Exeter for over 20 years.
Timothy was presented with a certificate and a cheque for his achievement at a celebratory lunch at Michelmores’ Exeter office – joined by Partner Joanna Damerell and Solicitor Tarik Kenan from the Real Estate department.
Timothy is now entering his third year at university, studying LLB Law.
Commenting on his achievement, he said:
“Receiving this prize from Michelmores came as a huge surprise! I am delighted and really proud – but owe the credit to the fantastic lecturers in the Law faculty at the University of Exeter. They put so much passion into their teaching and create fantastic content and courses. I’d particularly like to thank Christina Walton, who is the module convenor for the Land Law module, for her guidance and support.
I’m excited to say that I have been offered a training contract, which I’ll be commencing in 2018. I am also considering a postgraduate course as I think this will really benefit my legal career in the long-term.”
