I am a Partner and head of Michelmores’ Commercial team. I also lead the cross-practice Technology & Innovation group at Michelmores.
I have many years’ experience advising clients on all aspects of digital and data law. My clients range from large house-hold names to disruptors and tech entrepreneurs.
My work has enabled me to develop deep experience of the range of issues affecting the technology, gaming, data, media and financial services (fintech) sectors. Businesses seek my advice to help navigate compliance and commercial issues in order to innovate, evolve and ultimately succeed.
It is my responsibility to listen to my clients and develop an in-depth understanding of their business and their commercial drivers. While their businesses often give rise to complex and novel issues, my clients value my ability to provide clear and pragmatic advice to help them to achieve their goals.
I support in the drafting and negotiation of agreements – usually with a technology component, for major projects, business critical outsourcing arrangements, software and systems licensing, and development agreements. I also advise on regulatory and consumer compliance issues including data protection and other data laws and financial services regulation.
I have been part of the Michelmores team since 2009 when I joined from a leading London technology and media firm.
In addition to client work, I have been a Guest Lecturer at the University of Exeter (MA Creativity: Innovation and Business Strategy) and I also help to train and mentor businesses at SETSquared innovation centres as an Advisor in Residence.
I am ranked in Band 2 for Information Technology in independent legal guide Chambers, and have also been listed as a ‘Leading Individual’ by the Legal 500.
