I’m a Senior Associate in the Real Estate team based in Bristol. I joined Michelmores from a national firm having trained and practised at US City firm Reed Smith LLP.
I have over a decade of experience acting for institutional investment funds, private family funds and corporate, retail and leisure occupiers with a particular focus on the industrial/logistics and hotel sectors.
I regularly advise clients on all aspects of commercial real estate including acquisitions, disposals, asset management (landlord and tenant), development and funding.
I have a keen interest in renewable energy installations, sustainability and green issues affecting funds, owners and occupiers.
Office/Industrial:
Acting for major logistics operator on its £340m portfolio. Transactions include freehold site acquisitions (£9.2m acquisition condition on practical completion of major seller works), financing (bank certification of 15 complex multi-let sites for a £55m revolving credit facility) and all manner of property management work (conditional AfLs, leases and licences).
Acting for institutional fund on its acquisitions (£20m acquisition and certification of central Bristol multi-let office and £10m acquisition and leaseback of central London site with complex patchwork flying freehold and long leasehold titles).
Developing precedent solar rooftop leases and PPAs to enable the renewable arm of a logistics company to install solar pv on mixed ownership buildings.
Retail/Leisure:
Drafting and negotiating numerous asset purchase agreements for the disposal of various multi-million-pound hotel and pub businesses (£6m guide price Dumbleton Hall Hotel to US buyer, disposal of Cotswold pub to Daylesford and disposal of various guest houses).
Acting for a major high street clothing retailer and multi-national gym chain on all their occupational leasing (pre-let agreements, conditional AfLs, and all manner of property management).
