Solicitor – Admitted 2019
“When our startup was going through the acquisition process, as a single Founder, I couldn’t have managed to finalise the deal and get an excellent outcome for myself and the company without the day to day support I received from Henry and his team. He explained all the legal points in a layman words, negotiated better terms and kept me sane till the end.”
“Henry has taken time to listen to the issue, asked pertinent questions and then came back with a clear explanation of options with associated risks. This has enabled me to make informed decisions. Henry has supported and guided me through processes from beginning to end in a timely and professional manner. I would readily suggest Henry’s services to others.”
“I was delighted with the level of service, attention to detail and speed that Henry dealt with my matter.”
Overview
I am an Associate in Michelmores’ Employment team. I enjoy building strong, lasting relationships with my clients, and I believe that understanding their unique challenges is key to offering practical, tailored solutions.
I have worked across sectors including finance, technology, private equity, entertainment, manufacturing, charities, local government, and hospitality. My experience includes strategic restructuring and redundancy advice, TUPE, discrimination law – particularly in relation to age, disability, sex, and pregnancy/maternity discrimination. I have extensive experience negotiating exits for senior executives, advising on complex employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and managing employment tribunal litigation.
Before joining Michelmores, I gained a diverse range of experience spanning international law firms, a boutique London employment law outfit, regional practices, and a stint in-house. This breadth of experience allows me to bring a well-rounded perspective to my clients, advising both employers and employees on a wide range of employment law issues.
My goal is to provide practical, client-focused advice that helps businesses, other organisations, and individuals navigate employment challenges with confidence.
I have served on the junior committee of the Employment Lawyers Association and regularly engage in pro bono work, with a recent focus on advising new parents on their legal rights.
Outside of work, I live locally to Exeter – my hometown – with my wife and two sons. I love visiting Italy, where my wife is from, and spend most holidays there. I also enjoy playing guitar/songwriting, staying active through running, cycling, and squash, and I am passionate about nature and ornithology. I hold a degree in History from King’s College London and maintain a strong interest in anything historical.
