I joined Michelmores in 2008 as the Knowledge and Information Manager and now have over 25 years’ experience of knowledge and information services within the legal sector. My starting point was a Masters in Information Studies which was the basis for a period within local authority libraries before moving to the legal sector. I have always used information management, search, and retrieval skills to provide solutions to information challenges. My information skills, combined with years of sharing best practice with colleagues and peers, led organically into knowledge management.
I lead a small team of information professionals and together we provide knowledge and information tools and services to our lawyers and business professionals. The aim is to enable our lawyers to provide the best service possible for our clients within a culture of continuous learning and development.
My focus is on enabling the sharing of experience and expertise throughout the business so that Michelmores’ clients benefit from the collective knowledge of all the lawyers at the Firm. I am proud that our lawyers invest time in one another in pursuit of a better service for clients, and as a better way of working for themselves.
