I am a Solicitor in Michelmores’ Planning and Environmental team.
I joined the Michelmores’ Planning and Environmental team in November 2023 having worked previously at Trowers and Hamlins in Exeter.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing trombone in a local funk and soul band. I also enjoy yoga. I have a personal interest in sustainability and am a member of the UK Environmental Law Association and enjoy attending events such as the Wild Law hiking weekends.
In terms of planning experience, my work includes drafting and negotiating S106 Agreements and Deeds of Variation for a variety of clients including developers, local authorities, affordable housing providers and landowners, enabling me to anticipate issues that may arise from various angles. I also have experience advising on planning applications, advising on Judicial Review, assisting clients with permitted development and other rights and on compulsory purchase schemes. The above are in relation to large-scale housing and other developments.
My expertise extends to dealing with infrastructure agreements for highways and sewer adoptions, stopping-up orders and planning due diligence in respect of complex transactions.
My advisory experience extends to supporting a broad range of clients on matters of community infrastructure levy and permitted development rights.
From an environmental perspective, I have experience advising on sustainability, nutrient neutrality and BNG matters. I recently provided advice to a large supermarket chain on permitting requirements for an insect breeding project for sustainable animal feed.
