I’m an Associate in Michelmores’ Employment team. I provide contentious and non-contentious advice to a range of clients, from NHS Trusts to national retailers.
I have experience in providing advice on day-to-day HR issues, including investigations, grievance and disciplinary processes, contracts and settlement agreements, and have also provided training on such topics.
On the contentious side, I have experience in defending claims brought against organisations for discrimination, unfair dismissal (including constructive dismissal) and wrongful dismissal.
I joined Michelmores on qualification in 2021, having previously trained at a Cheltenham based firm.
Drafting, negotiating, and advising on bespoke employment contracts, consultancy agreements and director’s service agreements
Drafting settlement agreements on behalf of both employers and employees, advising on the terms of a settlement agreement and assisting with the subsequent negotiations
Acting for a national retailer in defending an ongoing Employment Tribunal claim for discrimination and unfair dismissal (including constructive dismissal)
Acting for an NHS Trust in defending an ongoing Employment Tribunal claim for sex and disability discrimination, whilst providing concurrent advice in respect of a various Data Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Act requests
Providing Employment law support and advice on a successful multi-million-pound corporate transaction. The advice included (but was not limited to) reviewing and providing advice regarding employment contracts, consultancy agreements, director’s service agreements, policies, handbooks, minimum wage, holiday pay and furlough arrangements
