Daniel Eames shortlisted for International Family Lawyer of the Year

Daniel Eames, Partner and Head of the Family team at Michelmores, has been shortlisted for The Family Law Awards 2021, which celebrates the outstanding achievements of family lawyers in the UK.

Daniel was shortlisted in the International Family Lawyer of the Year category, reflecting his nationally recognised expertise in this area of law. Daniel's reputation means that he consistently receives high calibre and complex instructions from high-net worth international clients. The shortlisting also recognises the significant contribution Daniel makes in the field of international family law. Daniel chairs Resolution's International Committee, is a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and also a member of Lord Justice Moylan's International Family Law Committee. He was the only solicitor to give evidence to the Justice Select Committee on the impact of Brexit on international family law and is part of a select group of international family law specialists who have been advising the Ministry of Justice on the relevant domestic legislation needed to replace the previous EU regulations.

Michelmores' Managing Partner, Tim Richards, said:

"Daniel's ability to handle complex and high-profile international work goes hand in hand with his exceptional skill for supporting clients at a time in their lives when they need empathy as well as first-class legal support. I'm delighted that his expertise has been recognised by the esteemed panel of judges at this year's Family Law Awards. My congratulations to Daniel, and I know I speak for us all at Michelmores in wishing him the very best of luck with his shortlisting."

Daniel Eames, Head of the Family team, commented:

"I am thrilled to have been shortlisted for the International Family Lawyer of the Year Award 2021, amongst an impressive list of other nominees. I feel very proud that I have been able to contribute to the international law sphere, both in terms of informing policy decisions and in being able to support international clients who need specialist assistance in navigating these complex and emotive matters. My congratulations to all other Family Law Awards finalists."

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Bloomsbury Big Top on 24 November 2021.
