24 hours in Copenhagen…

Last week I was invited to attend a conference with Andrew Oldland on the new Bribery Act in Copenhagen.

We stayed at a 1950′s hotel in the centre of the city (once famous for its architectural design and Anne Jacobsen’s Eggs chairs, which incidentally can be found in all of Michelmores break out areas!). I was impressed to see a mixture of 50 cent and the Carpenters had chosen to stay there before us.

At the conference Andrew spoke to some important members of the financial market about the wide reach of the UK Bribery Act. Afterwards I had the chance to network with the delegates and discuss their thoughts on the UK Bribery Act which were somewhat mixed – both interest and disbelief!

Before heading back to the UK we managed to see some of the amazing architecture in Copenhagen and to try some famous Danish produce, Carlsberg and Danish Pastries.

All together a very good start to my last seat in commercial litigation!
