Close to 1000 runners took part in the 2019 Michelmores 5k Charity Run on Thursday 5 September, which this year celebrated its 20th anniversary.
The Run, which started at Exeter’s Cathedral Green, saw individuals, teams from local businesses, running clubs and community organisations come together to raise money for Michelmores’ Charity of the Year, The Amber Foundation.
The Amber Foundation helps to support vulnerable and homeless young adults to get them back on their feet. Based in Chawleigh in Devon, Amber teaches those in need valuable life and vocational skills, providing much needed accommodation during trying times.
Louise Edwards, Marketing Director at Michelmores commented:
“The MM5k was particularly special this year as we celebrated 20 years of fundraising for great charities. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the event and raised money for a meaningful cause, The Amber Foundation. We look forward to seeing you next year!”
