On 16 January 2024, the Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2024 was approved by Parliament. The Order is now set to come into effect on 6 February 2024 and will see significant rises to the Immigration Health Surcharge.
The new changes will see the fees increase from:
- £470 to £776 per year for students, student dependants, Youth Mobility Scheme workers and children under 18 on the date of the application; and
- £624 to £1,035 per year for all other relevant immigration categories.
Those who are looking to avoid these increases, should submit their UK immigration applications before 6 February 2024.
