Michelmores is pleased to announce that it has raised over £1,000 for its Charity Partner, Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, at the Firm’s annual Quiz, which took place at The Queens Hotel, Cheltenham.
The event, hosted by Michelmores on 29 November, brought together over 140 guests in the Cheltenham and Cotswolds business community, including individuals from Savills, Saffery, and Knight Frank.
In May this year, Michelmores announced its support of four new charity partners, which will receive fundraising and volunteering support over a two-year period. One of those is Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Gloucestershire’s only inpatient unit for specialist palliative care. Their mission is to continue expanding their reach, caring for more people and supporting families who have lost loved ones.
The evening helped to raise both funds and awareness for this amazing cause, while bringing together friends and colleagues. The grand total of £1,357 was raised by both donations on entry and additional contributions by those taking part.
Representatives from Saffery, an award-winning firm of chartered accountants and business advisors in the UK, were victorious in the quiz and came away with bottles of Nyetimber to enjoy over the festive season.
Alysia Cameron-Price, Community Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder, commented: “We’re so grateful to Michelmores for arranging such a fun quiz. Thanks to everyone in the room who supported the Hospice. Your donations enable us to continue to provide expert care and vital bereavement support.”
Giving back to the community is an integral part of the Firm’s Destination 2030 strategy, whether it’s through volunteering, fundraising, or raising awareness of the work these important charities undertake. Read more about our Charity Partners here.
