Michelmores has strengthened its Banking and Finance capability with the appointment of Asheesh Das, who joins the Firm’s Bristol office as a Partner.
Ash joins the Firm’s Banking team, specialising in project and asset financing in the energy and transportation sectors.
He joins from McGuireWoods, a leading US law firm renowned for its banking work, where he was a partner in their London office.
Ash was previously a partner at Stephenson Harwood in Singapore and London, where he was responsible for developing their asset and infrastructure finance practice in Asia. He has also worked with Freshfields and Clifford Chance, in Singapore and London.
Ash has advised commercial lenders, government agencies, borrowers, and sponsors on landmark projects, particularly in Asia. His clients have included major multinational corporates and banks, development finance institutions, and shipping and commodities companies, including HSBC, Asian Development Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Deutsche Bank.
