Michelmores has launched its 2022 5k Charity Run with a new and exciting route. The event turns 21 this year and returns after a short hiatus.
Taking place on Thursday 8 September 2022 in the beautiful grounds of Powderham Castle, near Exeter, the event will bring people together to raise vital funds for Michelmores’ charity partner, mental health charity the Charlie Waller Trust. Powderham Castle is an iconic venue surrounded by glorious Devon countryside and situated on the Exe Estuary. In 2016 it played host to BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
Tim Richards, Managing Partner said:
“We are delighted that our annual charity run is able to return so that we can bring our people, clients, family and friends together to raise awareness and much needed funds for our charity partner, the Charlie Waller Trust. Wellbeing, inclusivity and sustainability really matter to Michelmores, and form the foundations for this year’s event. The grounds of Powderham Castle will provide the perfect backdrop to get together in the great outdoors – something so vital to our wellbeing.”
The run is open to those aged 14 years+ and those of all fitness levels are invited to jog or run the route. Competitive runners can look forward to some hotly contested awards but there will also be prizes for those who raise the most money for the Charlie Waller Trust.
As part of its commitment to reduce the environmental impact of the event, Michelmores will be encouraging green travel and incentivising returning participants to re-use a T-shirt from a previous Michelmores Charity Run. The Firm is aiming for a kaleidoscope of colours as participants run in a variety of its previous event t-shirts.
