Over 1000 runners took part in the Michelmores Charity 5k Run, which took place on 8 September 2016 in Exeter city centre.
The annual event, now in its 17th year, saw local people and businesses get together to celebrate the city of Exeter and to fundraise for Michelmores’ local Charity of the Year, Balloons. Balloons is a fantastic local charity that supports bereaved children and their families in Exeter and the South West.
Louise Edwards, Marketing Director said:
“It was a great evening – very hot running conditions, and a challenging course but well worth the effort to raise funds for Balloons. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!”
The run took place over a five-kilometre city centre course starting and finishing at Exeter’s Cathedral Green. The route took in many of Exeter’s historic and best-loved landmarks, including Exeter Castle, Southernhay, The Guildhall and more.
