Chambers UK 2025

Excellent results for Michelmores in Chambers UK 2025

Michelmores has once again achieved outstanding results in the latest edition of the Chambers UK Legal Guide to the best law firms, with an impressive 16 group and 48 individual rankings, with four teams and nine lawyers having received new or improved rankings. Six of the Firm’s lawyers are now ranked in Band 1 tables, and 24 of our ranked lawyers are women.

Michelmores’ growth and continued strengthening of expertise in areas that matter to our clients is reflected in this year’s Chambers UK Legal Guide.

We are extremely proud that Michelmores’ growing and highly-regarded Family team’s expertise was recognised this year, as the team moved up the table to Band 2 in the South West. Senior Associate Pippa Allsop and Associate Rhiannon Anderson were newly recognised as Associates to Watch. They joined Head of the Family team at Michelmores, Daniel Eames in the rankings, where he retained his top tier, Band 1 ranking (in addition to a prestigious UHNW ranking in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2024), and Partner Sarah Green, who is ranked as Up and Coming in the new directory.

The Firm’s expanding Real Estate Group had success across the board in their Specialist Real Estate teams; the Construction & Engineering team climbed into Band 3 in the South West and Partner Anna Wood was also newly ranked in Band 3, joining construction Partner Ashley Pigott, who retained his Band 1 ranking.

The Planning & Environmental team had similar achievements with Partner Helen Hutton being newly recognised and ranked in Band 3 for her work in Environmental Law, combined with her ongoing Band 3 ranking in the Planning category in which Partner Fergus Charlton received an improved ranking to Up and Coming.

Charlotte Curtis, Property Litigation Partner, was also ranked as Up and Coming for Real Estate Litigation, where both Partner Andrew Baines and the team retain a Band 3 ranking.

The Firm’s Defamation & Reputation Management team was also recognised nationally, with the team being ranked in Band 5 UK-wide, and Michelmores’ Agriculture team was newly ranked in Band 3 in London. The renowned team also continue to be recognised as top tier firm in Band 1 in the South West.

Other lawyers that celebrated improved their rankings were Agriculture Partner Adam Corbin, Senior Associate Emily Aggett from Michelmores’ Commercial and Regulatory Disputes team, and Head of Mental Capacity at Michelmores, Holly Miéville-Hawkins who was ranked in Band 3 in the UK for her work in Court of Protection in Property & Affairs.

Of the overall successes, Michelmores’ Managing Partner, Tim Richards said:

Congratulations to my colleagues who have been recognised in this year’s Chambers UK Legal Guide as well as the teams who have achieved a new or improved ranking.
