On Thursday 3 September over 40 Michelmores staff ditched the car and got on their bike to take part in national ‘Cycle to Work Day’.
Cycle to Work Day is an annual event aimed at encouraging people across the UK to ride their bikes to work, to promote the health and wellbeing benefits. Around 760,000 people in the UK cycle to work regularly and Cycle to Work Day hopes to increase this figure to one million people, by 2021.
Michelmores staff cycled in from various locations on the day and were all greeted with a well-earned breakfast and a cup of coffee on arrival at the office. Ian Holyoak, Partner and Head of the Commercial team, travelled the furthest on the day, clocking up a total of 40 miles. Ian regularly cycles to work, to support his training for cycling events.
Michelmores also supports the Cycle to Work Scheme, which allows staff to hire bicycles and bicycle safety equipment on a tax free basis.
