In a bid to raise awareness for its chosen Charity of the Year, Macmillan Cancer Support, Michelmores is hosting the ART4MACMILLAN charity art auction on October 17th. Woodwater House in Pynes Hill will be transformed into a ‘pop-up’ saleroom, and fine art auctioneers and valuers, Bearnes Hampton and Littlewood will be offering their expertise for the sale of a selection of works generously donated by a number of well-known artists from Devon and beyond.
Prior to the evening, prospective bidders will be able to preview all the available lots in an online catalogue, found at www.michelmores.com/events, and lodge bids. The catalogue is not yet online, but will follow shortly.
Richard Hedger, Partner at Michelmores said: ‘ We are absolutely delighted to be hosting this event, the first of its kind to be held at Michelmores. Not only will it help to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, but it will also showcase the fantastic art created by local artists, including the prominent sculpter, Heather Jansch, who is best-known for her bronze and driftwood horses.
