The successful formula that Michelmores Solicitors has applied to its highly successful annual Employment Law Conference will be on show again at Exeter’s Sandy Park on 13 November, with a second event now planned for London.
The annual event draws delegates from a wide range of employers, HR professionals and directors from across the region including the public, private, education and charitable sectors all of whom are keen to ensure they are up to date with the latest changes in employment law. A similar audience of professionals is expected to be attracted to the London conference, which takes place at Kensington Town Hall on Thursday, 4 December.
Topics under discussion include: holiday entitlement and calculations; early conciliation & settlement of claims; controlling social media; and an employment law round up. The Exeter event will also be addressed by Tony Cooper, Director, ACAS South West Region, who will provide an update on early conciliation, the negotiation process and tribunal statistics.
Both conferences will be chaired by Michelmores’ Partner and Head of the Employment team, Andrew Tobey, who said:
“Employment law issues touch all levels and types of business, from workplace disputes through to corporate acquisitions, and few areas of the law are as fast changing and dynamic.”
“It is essential for today’s HR professionals and other employers to fully understand recent changes to employment law and the impact that they will have on their businesses and organisations. These conferences have proved to be the ‘must-go-to’ employment events, and we expect considerable demand for places, so I’d advise early registration.”
Andrew Tobey will be joined by other specialist lawyers from the Michelmores Employment Law team, including Partner Tim Davies, along with Associates James Baker and Tom Stenner-Evans.
The half day event at Sandy Park Conference Centre in Exeter takes place on Thursday, 13 November commencing at 9.00 am. The second conference takes place on Thursday, 4 December, at Kensington Town Hall, London.
Tickets including a buffet lunch are £50 and places can be reserved by visiting www.michelmores.com/events or contacting Saskya Liney on 01392 688688.
