Michelmores has been recognised in a list of the top 200 legal practices in England and Wales, published by The Times. The Firm has been particularly commended for its private client work for inheritance and succession. Michelmores is one of only 24 law firms named in the list to be recommended for private client work, and is notably the only recommended firm with offices west of Bristol.
The news comes on the back of the private client team also being named earlier this year as one of the 2018 eprivateclient Top Law Firms in the UK.
The Times Best Law Firms 2019 list is based on a survey of 20,000 law professionals, where participants were asked which law firms they would recommend in a number of different areas of law. It is the first time The Times has undertaken this research and the list is entirely peer-selected – based on a simple question, ‘other than your own firm, which practice would you instruct in this area of work?’. The firms with the most votes made it into the published list.
Richard Cobb, Partner and Co Head of Private Wealth commented:
“We are delighted and grateful that other lawyers have named Michelmores as one of the top private wealth law firms in the country. We are often recommended by other law firms to help with complex private wealth issues, and act for many lawyers and other professionals, but this is the first time that vote of confidence has been tested on a large scale”.
