Michelmores’ specialist Food and Drink team have sponsored the ‘Best Foodie Product’ award at the Food Reader Awards, held on on 25 January 2016.
The annual awards dinner, at Yeo Valley’s headquarters in Blagdon, Somerset, gives readers of Food Magazine and Food Insider’s Guide the chance to champion their favourites in all things foodie across 13 categories, including: Local food hero – sponsored by Frobishers; Best foodie pub – sponsored by Thatchers; Best cookery school – sponsored by Salt Media; and Best chef – sponsored by Sharp’s Brewery.
Winner of the ‘Best Foodie Product’ award, sponsored by Michelmores, was Tideford Organics for its beetroot and kale soup. Tideford Organics, based in Totnes, have been producing soups, sauces, pesto, porridges and puddings since 1996 – only using organic ingredients.
David Thompson, Head of Michelmores’ Food & Drink team, who presented the award on the night said:
