Michelmores’ Bristol office is proud to announce that its Charity of the Year 2016 is Blaise Primary School in Henbury. The office aims to raise funds for the school’s new campaign ‘bringing literacy learning outside’.
Michelmores has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for a wide range of charities. Most recently the Firm supported Macmillan Cancer Support, raising over £65,000 during a two year partnership. This year, the Firm’s three offices will support charities local tothem in Exeter, Bristol and London.
Blaise, which has an Ofsted outstanding rating, is a large primary and nursery school with over 400 pupils. A higher than average proportion of its students are eligible for pupil premium funding, the additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Vivienne Williams, Partner in Michelmores’ Bristol office said:

“To raise funds, we will be taking part in a variety of events throughout 2016 including running the Bristol 10k in May and entering a team for a dragon boat race competition in June.”
Massimo Bonaddio, headteacher of Blaise Primary School said:
“We are really pleased that Michelmores has chosen to support our ‘bringing literacy learning outside’ campaign. The funds raised will help us develop dedicated outdoor space that provides a variety of stimuli and opportunities for children’s writing.”
